"Stilt houses" Unteruhldingen

Opened in 1922, the archaological museum exhibits reconstructions of dwelling settlements from the Stone and Bronze age.

The newly opened „ARCHAEORAMA“ lets its visitors walk through an underwater world enjoying a multimedia show. Drilling holes into stones the way it was done 5000 years ago or driving across a trackway through bogs – all these activities can be experienced in the Stone Age Parcours open during holidays. The entire museum is handicapped accessible.

In 2014, the museum was awarded for the second time by the Tourism Association Baden-Württemberg as a as a family-friendly leisure facility. Parking spaces and lockers are avaiable.

Dogs are allowed to enter the museum.

Right next to the museum is a public beach (free of charge) and a playground.

Plan about 3 to 4 hours for your visit to the Pfahlbauten Museum.

Information about entrance fees and opening hours can be found on the homepage

Tip: Combine your visit to the museum with a short trip to Meersburg or the Affenberg in Salem.
